Help with an IRS tax problem. I first went to the Underhill firm for help with an IRS tax problem several years ago. Joanne Underhill was knowledgeable about the IRS and my options and she went “above and beyond” to resolve my issue in a way I could afford. The firm was very fair on its pricing. I was completely satisfied. I’ve gone back for advice on other matters since then and I continue to be very satisfied. Joanne helped me understand and work through a contract which I had grave questions about. She provided excellent counsel and assisted in choosing wording that was mutually acceptable by both sides. She also provided representation that was invaluable. She charged a reasonable amount for the services she provided and I couldn’t be more pleased. I highly suggest her should you require an employment attorney.

We were very satisfied with Underhill & Underhill, P.C.’s representation of our business. We were exceptionally pleased with the work Joanne Underhill did for us. She analyzed the FAA regulations our business was accused of violating and helped us develop our evidence and defend ourselves. We first started with a larger downtown firm and we were mostly charged for their research and we felt they did not have a personal interest in our case other than viewing our company as a revenue stream. When we switched to Joanne Underhill, she took a personal interest in our case and became our advocate. The FAA ended up agreeing we had not done anything wrong and voluntarily dismissed its case against our company. Joanne was easy to work with and talk to, and we enjoyed working with her. I worked closely with Joanne when we were both litigators at the Federal Home Loan Bank Board in the early stages of the thrift crisis. We successfully tried a case together in the Southern District of New York and she proved to be a careful, tenacious and creative attorney. We have stayed in touch as she has built a successful legal practice with her husband in Colorado and I can recommend her highly.

Excellent Service and Honesty! I didn’t know where to start with a smaller civil case that I needed to pursue. Jim Underhill was very helpful, honest and thorough. Excellent Business Incorporation skills! I used Jim Underhill to set up an “S” Corporation for my construction business. He was able to not only get all the appropriate paperwork completed in a timely manner, but also advised me on my legal limits and liabilities. He also provided me with the proper forms for employees and subcontractors required by law. By using his helpful advice, I was able to avoid potential problems with my business going forward. I like his “no nonsense” and concise approach. i continue to consult with him periodically with the legal stumbling blocks I occasionally encounter. Thanks Jim for your continued assistance!
